Audio systems have grown in importance over the years, but this is the first time a carmaker has created a special edition around them. The Taigun and Virtus Sound editions include a custom-tuned audio system with a subwoofer and amplifier. These are based on the Taigun and Virtus Topline variants with the 1.0l TSI turbo petrol engine, so the gearbox options for the Sound edition include a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic.

Other new features include a Sound Edition badge, graphics, and additional features such as Electric Front Seats, Puddle Lamps, and Footwell Illumination. The Taigun and Virtus are possibly the only cars in their class with dual electric seats. When it comes to colors, the Taigun and Virtus Sound editions come in Lava Blue, Carbon Steel Grey, Wild Cherry Red, and Rising Blue.

In addition, the Volkswagen Taigun Sound Edition features a dual-tone color scheme with a white roof and white ORVM caps. The Sound Edition costs INR 16.32 Lacs (ex-showroom India) for the Taigun and INR 15.51 Lacs (ex-showroom India) for the Virtus. There are no changes to the powertrain or transmission options; instead, the focus is on improving the sound experience with these two vehicles.

Volkswagen has been constantly updating their Taigun and Virtus models, including the 1.5 TSI manual in the Virtus and a more off-road oriented special edition of the Taigun, among other things.
